A family friend of ours offered to give us one of the greatest gifts ever ... taking pictures of us as a family. This family friend, Cameron Powell, is a fabulous photographer & videographer. He actually did our wedding video. He was in high school then but now he's all grown up and a very talented & established photographer. We were looking at his website a few months ago and I told Mark, "I don't care how much he costs, I want him to take pics of Izzy when we're home." Well, he offered before we even asked. With Isabelle just having traveled 22 hours through 6 time zones & a 60 degree change in weather plus going to an American church for the first time ever AND having a shower in honor of her for lunch that day, we were VERY surprised at how well she did for the photo shoot on Sunday. There were a few meltdowns but Cameron was so patient with us & the Belle and got some really good shots. Also, our clothes bag got lost in transit & we were worried about what the Belle would wear for her shoot. We lucked out again because her Gaga had bought her an adorable smocked outfit and another family friend, Joy McCubbin, had bought her a polka dot monogrammed dress. I'm telling y'all ... they were SO cute on her! Just have a looksie for yourself ...

Now that Isabelle is getting a bit more mobile, it makes her bath time a little more active. She can hardly sit down long enough for us to give her a bath. She loves to stand and play.

it's gettin' hot

With temperatures getting up in the 120s in Ayorou and the 90s in our house, we are resorting to the bare necessities for Isabelle's outfits.
