hello again

Hello old friends
There's really nothing new to say
But the old, old story bears repeating
And the plain old truth grows dearer every day
When you find something worth believing
Well, that's a joy that nothin' could take away

Just wanted to let you know we are alive and well and gearing up for our return to Niger in August.  We've had a great (and busy) stateside where we've spent tons of time with family and friends.  One three week period saw us put over 4500 miles on the car we were borrowing!

We will be returning to Niger on August 20th to begin a new ministry assignment.  We'll be living in the big city of Niamey this time around as we've accepted the Team Strategy Leader position.  Our focus will be on all the Songhai lands instead of just one village as before.

While we grieved to leave Ayorou (we're bush people), we are certain that this is the place God would have us at this season in our lives and our ministry.

Just some items of prayer for you as you think about us...

* final preparations for return to field (the crate is almost finished).
* a new couple who is considering joining the Songhai team.  Pray for God to open doors to allow them to serve alongside us in Niger
* more churches to come alongside us in ministry.  Much of our ministry will only be possible as churches in the states partner with us to reach unreached areas.
* Luke's adjustment.  Poor kid was born in the States in February and gets a little freaked out if the temperature is above 80!  Dare I say...culture shock rapidly approacheth!

We are so grateful for you who've been with us on this journey with us.  Your prayers and encouragement have truly sustained us.  We look forward to a new season of ministry alongside you!
